26L French 1870s Skirt Lifts

Set of eight rare 1870s French gilt champlevé émaux peints bustle or skirt lifts. These exquisite pieces feature beautifully hand-painted pink roses on a Marie-Antoinette-blue background. The unique hook shank design also makes them suitable for use on a Louis XVI waistcoat or breeches calf fasteners.

These gilded fasteners are in excellent condition, as shown in the images, with one displaying evidence of a soldering repair on its back.

The face measures approximately 26 lignes (16.5 mm or just over 5/8 inches).
