19th-century hand-blown amber glass homeopathic apothecary or pharmacy bottle originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. No maker mark. Paper label: FOSFATO DE TRICALCICO (TRICALCIUM PHOSPHATE). Tricalcium phosphate was used to treat or prevent calcium deficiency.
Approximate measurements:
6 5/8 inches tall (includes inserted stopper)
3 inches diameter bottom
2 inches diameter of mouth opening
Offered in as-found condition. There are some minor flaws in the glass like a few air bubbles and subtle nicks on the stopper's outer edge. The glass stopper has a few nicks on its outer cap edge and a chip at the lower part edge. A punt scar is evident on the stopper, an indication of this being handmade.
