Take your measurements accurately, making no extra allowances. Do not take measurements too tightly. Keep the measuring tape snug against your body without pulling it tight. Be careful that the tape does not slip or twist, and make sure it has not stretched or shrunk.

Remember to start with the low-inch end of the measuring tape.

Use this chart as a guideline for comparing your body measurements with modern US women's sizing. Vintage sizes vary by era and manufacturer, so always compare your measurements with the actual measurements provided in the individual listing. Measurements may overlap between sizes.

Measure your head at the angle at which you plan to wear the hat, as shown in the illustration. Do not add any extra allowance to your measurement.

• Hold your dominant hand flat with your fingers together and your thumb extended.
• Measure around your hand over the knuckles, keeping the tape snug but not tight. Do not include your thumb.
• Measure from the crease of your wrist to the tip of your middle finger.
• Your larger measurement determines your vintage glove size. If you fall between sizes, size up.

For comfortable movement, always order gloves large enough. Working and winter gloves may require additional room.
