Printed in 1933 and postmarked in 1945, this postcard showcases the grand Main Post Office in New York City, officially known as the James A. Farley Building. Located on Eighth Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets, directly across from Penn Station, the building is an enduring symbol of civic pride and classical architecture. Designed by McKim, Mead & White—the same firm behind the original Penn Station—it opened in 1914 and became famous for its sweeping Corinthian colonnade and the motto inscribed on its façade: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night..." By the time this postcard was mailed, the post office was a vital wartime hub, helping connect soldiers and families across the world.

This postcard would look great framed, make a wonderful hostess gift, or make an excellent addition to any collection.
