Elaborate Art Deco crystal liquor decanter by Karl Palda, made in the 1930s in Bohemia (now the Czech Republic). This substantial and finely crafted piece features bold black enamel accents paired with deep geometric etching on clear crystal—signature elements of Palda’s iconic Art Deco designs. Its solid weight, sculptural stopper, and scale indicate that it was likely intended for liqueur or spirits, not perfume.

The Karl Palda workshop, founded in 1888 in Haida (Nový Bor), rose to international acclaim for its highly stylized, modernist glassware. Between 1933 and 1938, the firm produced its most sought-after pieces, including this impressive decanter, which captured the bold elegance of the Art Deco movement.

Please review the photos showing small nicks and flea bites on the inner lip and some edges, as well as light base wear from age. The stopper has a visible chip on its base. None of these affects its striking display value. A true centerpiece for any bar, cabinet, or collector’s shelf.

Approximate measurements:
