Additional Information:
Woven by Munsing Wear from DuPont rayon yarn. The company was started by George D. Munsing in 1886. These bloomers predate 1923, when the company went public and changed its name from Munsing Wear to Munsingwear, Inc. At the time, it was the world's largest underwear manufacturer. Its slogan was "Don't say underwear, say Munsingwear." This piece is an early example of the company's expansion from men's undergarments into post WW1 women's underwear production.
