1920s Maternity Corset Garter Belt X-Small

Rare 1920s obstetric maternity corset. An abdominal belt and hose supporter of coutil and mercerized surgical elastic webbing. Steel boning, with "Velvet Grip" hose grips.  

Measured flat and doubled where appropriate

Waist 25 inches 
Hips 31"
Side seam length 5 1/2 inches
Strap width to size your clips: 3/4 inch

Care and Condition: The fabric is generally sturdy, and this piece can be restored to a fine condition with some care. Issues: There are stains, a tear on the back left strap, several steel stays poking through on the interior, rusted fittings, and a missing button tab on the rear left strap. The surgical elastic has no extra "give."
