1910 Date Night Courtship of Merry Widow

1910 vintage postcard. The opera The Merry Widow premiered in 1905 and took New York by storm. The story of a wealthy widow being pursued by fortune-seeking men desperately trying to tie up her time so she can be theirs. We see her here with an astounding hourglass figure created by her corset (that to this day is colloquially referred to as a "Merry Widow"). This would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
