1909 vintage postcard. A delightful birth announcement was illustrated, and the artist signed DWIG (Dwiggins). A silly little child is wrapped in red cloth and hung from a scale.
This type of postcard is known as a "blank" because the sender fills in the blanks. The scale instructs the sender to draw an arrow indicating the weight of the baby. It is printed beneath the baby. Dear (Aunt and Uncle TC-!) I arrived today, and here's how much I weigh. You are welcome to visit me at any time. (Willard Seercon's) 28th of January, 1909.
