1907 Martinsville Indiana Sanitarium

1907 vintage postcard of the Home Lawn at the Martinsville Sanitarium in Indiana. Constructed ca. 1897, the Martinsville Mineral Springs Hotel (Martinsville Sanitarium) operated as a health resort in Martinsville, Indiana until approximately 1957. The hotel offered a therapeutic setting with healing baths and an exclusive mineral water treatment for diseases of the muscles and joints, stomach, and kidneys. Seen here is a partial view of the building with a relaxing view of the front lawn.
