Mid-century black bouffant boudoir slippers in jacquard weave by Daniel Green. Daniel Green manufactured slippers with materials that were not rationed during World War Two. Because of this, women were able to indulge in boudoir slippers at a time when few indulgences were allowed. Synonymous with pin-up glamour and femininity at a time when life was very hard, women remained loyal to the brand post-war, with signs of wear on the insoles that are consistent with their age and use.
