Dating to the late 1930s, this vibrant linen-era postcard features the Lincoln Marriage Temple in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. This brick structure was modeled after the old Ludbegrud Church of Clark County and was built specifically to house and protect the original log cabin in which Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks, the parents of Abraham Lincoln, were married. The historic cabin was moved from Washington County by the Harrodsburg Historical Society to its current site in Old Fort Harrod State Park. The inset circle prominently showcases the original "Marriage Cabin" itself, preserving a significant piece of Lincoln family history.
