Based on Mitchell's production history and the specific "STAMP" box design, this card can be narrowly dated to approximately 1910–1912. St. Mary's Academy was the first school in Oregon to be accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. The building shown in the image was the central campus on Market Street; the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary famously arrived in Portland via steamship from Montreal to establish this foundation. This uncirculated card preserves the campus before major 20th-century urban redevelopments changed the surrounding landscape.
