1917 Festive Homes Down Wintry Lane Christmas Postcard

A wintry lane winds gently past red-roofed cottages, their chimneys quiet beneath a pale winter sky. This 1917 vintage Christmas greeting card captures a scene of peaceful stillness, where time seems to slow, and the hush of snowfall wraps every rooftop, fence, and tree in soft white.

Set among snow-covered trees and rolling hills, the village feels both intimate and timeless. Subtle touches of green foliage peeking through the snow. A line of fencing following the gentle curve of the lane adds depth and warmth to this idyllic winter view. The composition, painted in muted tones with just the right flashes of red and green, draws the eye and stirs the heart.

At the bottom of the card, CHRISTMAS WISHES is printed in a decorative red font, followed by a heartfelt verse in a handwritten style:
“May your Christmas skies be clear,
And your pathway one of cheer.”
