1909 Remembrance Grief Marigold

1909 vintage postcard. In the tradition of Victorian flower language, marigolds were a symbol of grief, despair, and mourning. Similar to the marigold's part in The Day of the Dead, marigolds were also used as a remembrance flower during the Victorian era.
