1930s Midnight Black Slip, Small

A vintage, late 1930s to early 1940s semi-sheer black nylon full slip. Made from early wartime nylon before factories fully transitioned to using all of this fabric for military parachute production during World War II. Features a V-neckline at both the front and back, adjustable shoulder straps, and black enameled fittings.

Condition: Fabric surface has some mars and a few very small holes, with the most noticeable ones on the right side near the right cup (pictured). Please refer to the images for details. Note some images show this as opaque, but it is semi-sheer. See the enlarged close-up image of the bodice to see how a flash reflects the mannequin surface.

Care instructions: handwash separately in warm water and line-dry. Do not ring when wet; it is not very absorbent and is light as a feather.
