1911 Silver Bells, Songbirds Christmas Postcard

This stunning 1911 postcard captures the quiet wonder of a winter’s day. Two European robins bring life and motion to the scene, one perched gracefully on a holly branch heavy with red berries, the other caught mid-flight, wings open, as if carrying a message on the cold December air. In the distance, a snow-covered home rests beneath a bare tree, the kind of rural winter scene that once inspired carols and candlelit storytelling.

To the right, a pair of silver bells, symbols of joy and reunion, hang from a sprig of holly, tied with a pale blue ribbon. “Christmas Greetings” is gently scripted below, a soft echo of warmth and tradition.
