This card was made expressly for S. H. Knox and Co. and printed in Germany as noted on the left margin of the reverse. It features a prominent flag cancel postmark from Canton Ohio dated December 5 1908 and a green one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp. The building itself is famous for the four copper angels on the clock tower which are local landmarks in Stark County. The divided back allows for the message and address to share the space.
The handwritten message on the back discusses a business or travel stay and reads: I will be in Canton until Dec 15 08 closing the season on or about that date. Could you give any information on the conversation of those two gentlemen of our concern. Edwards Hotel Canton Ohio. It is addressed to Miss Glendora Patterson in Marion Ind.
