This vintage postcard features McCormick Hall at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. The image captures the historic brick building with its distinctive tower, arched windows, and surrounding trees and lawn. Parked in the lower right corner is a 1941 Plymouth 4-door sedan, adding an authentic period detail and evoking a strong sense of mid-20th-century campus life.

Built in 1883–1884, McCormick Hall is the oldest building on the Hastings College campus and was designed in the Italianate architectural style. Originally serving as the center of academic activity and housing a chapel, it remains in use today for classrooms and faculty offices. The building was named in honor of Eliza McCormick, a significant benefactor in its construction.

This postcard also references Ringland Hall, named after the college’s first president, Dr. William F. Ringland, who served from 1883 to 1896.

The postcard not only celebrates the architectural beauty and academic history of Hastings College but also offers a nostalgic look at American campus life in a bygone era.

This would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
