23L 1980s Purple Clamshell Novelty Buttons, 5/8" set of 2

These two 1980s vintage purple clamshell (or scallop shell) novelty shank buttons feature a delicate, realistic molded design with raised radial ribbing/fan lines across the curved, semi-circular shell shape—evoking a tiny seashell or clam for a sweet, beachy touch.

Measure approximately 23L, 23 lignes, 14.6 mm, 37/64 inches (close to 5/8").

These were made in the United States by Jesse James & Co. who coined the phrase "Just say no to boring embellishments".
