This sparkling set of five vintage mid-century blouse buttons captures the sparkle and sophistication of postwar fashion. Each petite button is made from crystal-clear lucite (early acrylic plastic) and features a brilliant foil-backed rhinestone center that reflects light beautifully, creating a dimensional, jewel-like glow. The clear domed design enhances the brilliance of the stone while keeping the look refined and timeless.
The buttons are finished with molded square self-shanks, a durable and streamlined construction typical of quality button production in the 1940s and 1950s. Measuring approximately 14 lignes (about 8.7 mm or 11/32 inch, almost 3/8 inch), they are perfectly sized for blouses, cardigans, dresses, collars, cuffs, doll clothing, jewelry making, and authentic vintage garment restoration.
These buttons were produced in Czechoslovakia (Bohemia), particularly the Jablonec nad Nisou region, which was internationally renowned for rhinestones, buttons, and costume accessories and quickly adapted its expertise to acrylic materials after World War II.
Condition is excellent vintage, with clear bodies, strong sparkle, intact foil-backed rhinestones, and no chips, cracks, or yellowing. A beautiful example of 1940s–1950s fashion details that add instant polish and charm to any project.
