Origin: United States. Made from genuine mother-of-pearl sourced from freshwater mussel shells in the Mississippi River. These buttons were produced in Muscatine, Iowa, the “Pearl Button Capital of the World.” These were made in American factories during the peak decades, supporting local economies and supplying the fashion industry.
