14L Set of Five 1920s Cobalt Blue Art Deco Egyptian Revival Buttons, 3/8"
Set of 5 Vintage 1920s Czech Glass Shank Buttons – Cobalt Blue Art Deco Egyptian Revival Pyramids
This rare and highly collectible set of five authentic 1920s Czech glass buttons reflects the glamour of the Art Deco era and the Egyptian Revival fascination that followed the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922.
Crafted in the renowned Jablonec region of Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic), these buttons represent the exceptional glassmaking tradition that made Bohemia famous worldwide.
Each button is molded in rich cobalt blue glass and formed into a striking triangular pyramid shape with a self-shank. They measure approximately 8.5–8.8 mm across (about 14 lignes or 3/8 inch), making them ideal for delicate blouses, flapper-era dresses, lingerie, doll clothing, or modern jewelry and fiber art projects.
One button features a beautifully worn gilt (gold) border accent along the edges, a desirable period detail seen on some higher-end Czech glass pieces from the era. This subtle metallic accent adds depth, contrast, and authentic vintage character.
The set is in excellent antique condition overall, with no chips, cracks, or damage. The gilt wear is consistent with age and enhances the historical appeal. These are genuine 1920s originals, not reproductions.
A wonderful addition for collectors of vintage sewing notions, Art Deco accessories, Egyptian Revival design, or Czech Bohemian glass, and a perfect choice for period garment restoration or creating distinctive statement pieces.
