This classic military band insignia features a central lyre motif (originating in Civil War-era marching bands) with fine lined background and dotted rim, topped by a sturdy metal loop shank. Backmarked "SUPERIOR QUALITY" with stars—hallmark of Waterbury's long-running quality line. Measures approximately 25 lignes (15.8 mm / 5/8 inch), non-magnetic solid brass with nice age patina and gilt tones.
