Step into preserved street railway history with this 1969 vintage postcard featuring Montreal Tramways car No. 2600 at the Connecticut Trolley Museum in East Windsor. Published for the Connecticut Electric Railway Association and photographed in color by Bert Johanson, this Curt Teich Curteichcolor 3-D Natural Color reproduction captures a classic intercity streetcar in excursion service.

Lightweight steel closed car No. 2600 was built in 1929 by the Canadian Car & Foundry for service with Montreal Tramways Company. Designed for durability and all-weather urban operation, this streamlined steel car represents the later generation of streetcars that modernized city transit systems in the early 20th century.

After retirement from service in Montreal, the car was preserved and moved to Connecticut, where it now carries visitors on weekends and holidays from April through December. Operating along the museum’s demonstration railway on Route 140, No. 2600 allows riders to experience authentic vintage trolley travel firsthand.

This collectible 1969 postcard is especially desirable for collectors interested in preserved operating streetcars, Montreal transit history, or Northeast trolley museums. It would display beautifully framed or make a standout addition to any streetcar, railway museum, or Connecticut transportation collection.
