1960s Pan Am President Gray Bread Plates

In-flight Pan Am first-class catering bread plate in the gray band President pattern used in the 1960s. Bread plate diameter 6 inches. 

Made by Noritake, a company famous for the quality of its hand-painted and gold embellished porcelain china. The President Pattern was made in honor of Franklin Roosevelt's World War II travel aboard Pan Am for his historic meeting with Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin. 

The service was made with either a blue or a gray band. The President pattern features a gold eagle with three stars above the head and ten gold stars below the spread wings. The stars match the color of the band.
