A charming 1944 “They’ll Do It Every Time” vintage mutoscope comic postcard. This delightful strip features ladies enjoying lunch, their waitress in uniform, and a scene of dessert indulgence. The expressions captured are simply fabulous!
Created by the keen observer Jimmy Hatlo, who made a career out of drawing scenes from real life. Jimmy Hatlo, an American cartoonist, launched the long-running comic strip and gag panel “They’ll Do It Every Time” in 1929, continuing until his death in 1963. He also created “Little Iodine,” which was adapted into a feature-length movie in 1946. This postcard would look fantastic framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
