Vintage 1940s equestrian riding pants by Meyer's Brothers Sportswear, Lexington, KY. "Home of the Thoroughbred". Modern size equivalent: Medium/8. These Kentucky equestrian pants are full-length riding pants designed for saddle seat riding. The overall look gives the impression of a rider with a longer leg and heel lower than the toe, the desired equitation standard for this riding style. They are reinforced with fabric to protect the inner calf and knee from rubbing.

Slenderizing, continuous waistband; gabardine. Two front inset slit pockets. Belt loops. Light blonde / tan / khaki color. Left side talon metal zipper fly with vegetable ivory button closure at waistband. Stained from genuine ranch and riding wear. The sartorial split waistband was altered by a tailor and let out later; see the images, please.
