1918/19. A silver medal or medallion commemorating the November 1918 insurgency in Alsace-Lorraine resulting in the liberation from German control to French sovereignty at the end of World War I. Engraved by G. Prudhomme.
Obverse: ALSACE LORRAINE. Adjoining busts of Alsace, and Lorraine on the left.
Reverse: a cherub sitting on a bench and holding a banner on which is written: LOYALTY TO FRANCE (Fidélité a la France). Ivy branches surround the legs of the bench. It measures 27.8 mm in diameter. Please note the first image is taken with a scanner, the others are with a camera.
