1907 Boarding House Bedbugs Postcard

1907. A comical vignette of two travelers being attacked by bed bugs and trying to kill them in return. The Pilgrims of the Night. Killing them by the thousands In handwritten script: The Fighting Chance. An influence for the titling of this card was certainly Gustave Doré's account of the deprivation and squalor of mid-Victorian London called "London: A Pilgrimage"
