About This Vintage Postcard

This striking colorized lithograph features the final resting place of Brigham Young, the influential second president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and founder of Salt Lake City. The scene showcases the grave enclosed by an elegant, pointed iron fence, situated in the historic Brigham Young Family Cemetery established in 1848. The tranquil image captures the site as it appeared in the early 20th century before the area was rededicated as the Mormon Pioneer Memorial Monument. This card serves as a significant record of religious and regional history during the peak of the Golden Age of postcards.
