1960s FDR Little White House Interior Warm Springs GA Vintage Postcard
About This Vintage Postcard
The presence of President Roosevelt still seems to linger in this quiet corner of the Little White House, centered around the worn brown leather chair that was his steady companion during his retreats to Georgia. Bathed in the soft light of the jalousie windows, this simple setting evokes the private moments of a world leader seeking strength in the therapeutic stillness of Warm Springs. It is a poignant, intimate window into the personal life of a man who shaped history from this very seat, surrounded by the books and small comforts that made this cottage his true sanctuary.

Additional Information
The Little White House was FDR’s private retreat, built in 1932 while he was Governor of New York. Drawn to Warm Springs for its therapeutic mineral waters, which he hoped would help with the effects of polio, Roosevelt found both physical relief and emotional peace in the small Georgia town. He returned frequently throughout his presidency, and it was at this very home that he passed away in 1945.
This vintage postcard would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
