Set of three. 1920s vintage red casein buttons These two-hole, sew-through buttons were salvaged from a badly damaged 1920s beach pajama top. Measure approximately 26.4 mm rounded to 41L, 41 lignes, 26 mm, or 1 1/32 inch.

Invented in 1897, Casein milk plastics are a type of plastic made from a protein called casein found in milk. They were popular in the early 1900s, but making it was a slow process, and after World War II, newer plastics became more popular. The production of casein plastics all but ended after 1945. We combine shipping and invite you to visit our other listings.
