This postcard is postmarked February 24, 1902, from Guîtres in the Gironde department. It is addressed to Mademoiselle A. Vivran at Domaine de Ploiseau in Saint-Martin-du-Bois. The back of the card features the standard French republic header and the regulation text stating that the side is exclusively reserved for the address. This layout confirms its production during the era before divided backs were legalized in France in 1904. The 5 centimes French stamp is still attached with a clear 1902 postal cancellation.
