1900s Early Grand River Lansing Michigan Vintage Postcard
About This Vintage Postcard
The gentle curve of the Grand River flows through the heart of Lansing, reflecting a time when the city’s pulse moved to the rhythm of the water. Framed by the sprawling, intricate branches of an ancient tree, this scene captures the quiet, industrious spirit of Michigan’s capital at the turn of the century. There is a deep, tranquil beauty in the way the soft sunlight touches the riverbanks and distant bridges, offering a rare glimpse into a landscape that has since been reshaped by the passage of decades.

Additional Information
The back of the card carries a delightful message from the sender: "My Dear Sister: Received your card in the first place, a letter and a present from G. McCain, hair brush. Just lovely with pearl and silver handles. Very nice. Did you receive my long letter? If so please write and tell me all the news. Did you understand that your umbrella is at Mrs. Patterson's? It was a nice day here Sunday but stormed every day last week. It really snowed nearly all the harvest off the trees. It cost 2.03 to get my goods packed at Pat's. They haven't sent yet. Hope they will soon. Love to all, L.L.
This vintage postcard would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
