The Battle Line Boulder, also known as the Line of the Minute Men Memorial, was placed on the northwest corner of the Battle Green in 1884. The inscription reproduces Captain John Parker's famous command to his seventy-seven men: "Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here." The reverse side of this uncirculated card provides a brief historical description of the marker's significance to the events of April 19, 1775.

It is highly probable that the original photograph for this postcard was captured using a glass plate negative, as this was the standard for professional landscape and architectural photography during the early 1900s, ensuring the high level of detail preserved in this image.
