Experience a rare piece of early 20th-century craftsmanship with this authentic Spirella Co. Inc. corset, stamped with patents from March 13, 1900 and June 2, 1914. Featuring the brand’s distinctive “Velvet Clasp” hardware, this model 34 corset showcases Spirella’s renowned attention to structure, fit, and elegance.
The back lacing allows for some size adjustment. When laced closed, it fits a modern support garment X-Large. The general rule of thumb is to buy 2 inches smaller than your measurements.

Top: 36"
Waist 29"
Hips 38"
Side length 17"
Strap width to size your clips: 3/4"
Condition: The fabric is still sturdy. Issues include stains, several steel stays poking through the interior, rusted fittings, and one missing button tab. Six of the twenty stays have broken through. A period repair is visible at the bottom of the fastening stain, padded to prevent the stay from damaging outer garments.
This corset had a strong body odor, which we treated for two weeks with a homemade rubbing alcohol-based solution, followed by plenty of sunshine and fresh air. It no longer has a noticeable odor, but exposure to body heat could release residual smells, so further treatment may be needed. We do not recommend washing it, as the steel stays will rust if exposed to water.
A beautiful collectible for fashion historians, costumers, or antique-lingerie enthusiasts, it offers both historical charm and the enduring quality that made Spirella a leader in bespoke corsetry.
