1940s-50s Deadstock Football Pants, Small

Rare new old stock (NOS) mid-20th century (circa 1940s-1950s) American football pants in outstanding unworn condition, complete with the original paper inventory tag still attached.

Waist: 30"
Inseam: 16"
Front Rise to waist: 10"
Front rise to the very top: 13"
Rear Rise: 14"
Rear rise to the very top: 17"

Condition: As shown, somewhat musty smell. The sides are quilted quite stiffly and it will take some doing to get them to lay flat if you want to display them as shown in the illustration.

These football pants are crafted from navy blue twill fabric and feature the classic high-waisted lace-up front closure with metal eyelets/grommets, D-ring belt tabs, and the original shoestring lace intact. Designed for the era before integrated padding became standard, they include built-in heavy interior quilting along the waist, hips, and sides for impact protection and structure, typical of high school or college gridiron uniforms from this period.

Additional protective elements include textured orange/brown faux-leather knee reinforcements for durability during play, and pockets/slots for the included separate stiff removable thigh pads.

A fantastic display piece or wearable relic for collectors of vintage football memorabilia or mid-century sports gear.
