These Art Deco appliqués were designed to be stitched directly onto garments and reflect the decorative trims used in pre-WWII couture, Hollywood evening wear, and stage costumes. The dimensional bullion braid and individually set stones are characteristic of 1930s garment embellishment, prior to the widespread use of glued stones and lighter trims seen later in the century.
The warm topaz glass stones are beautifully framed with the bronze braid, creating a rich, sculptural effect. Offered as a mirrored pair.
Condition is vintage as shown, with stones secure. Offered as a matched pair, suitable for garment restoration, costume design, or collection.
