Victorian Miraculous Medal Chain Necklace

This is a Victorian-era silver Miraculous Medal from the 1890s. Originally known as the Medal of the Immaculate Conception, it earned the name "Miraculous Medal" due to numerous reports of miracles experienced by those who wore it. The medal has a 900 silver hallmark. The original chain found with the piece is sterling silver and fastens with a spring ring clasp.
