Condition: overdyed to disguise age-related or hard water stains.  Please note any "dusty white" coloring is from it being freshly laundered with liquid starch, a result that will vanish with wear and future laundering. There is not a whole lot of stretch left in the elastic, as is common with vintage elastics. There may be mends, darns, or other signs of wear and/or repair related to this piece. 

Care instructions: 
Hand washing with warm water and line drying will best suit the longevity of this vintage foundation. Using spray starch and a "cotton" iron setting is okay to add to the fabric's stiffness and enhance its shaping features.
