1952 vintage postcard. Marine Studios, the world's only oceanarium, is located 18 miles south of the city. At feeding time, the porpoise comes when called by name. Underwater portholes show they live on the ocean bottom. The Porpoise Stadium was added to Marine Studios in 1952. The stadium would showcase "Flippy" the educated porpoise.
