1940s Flattering Firm Uplift Bra (Size 28D)

An extended band brassiere with quilt-stitched under cups that lift and separate, creating a youthful silhouette. The extended band smooths, with 5 1/2" side support to help prevent spillage and enhance for a more perfect fit. Pretty embroidered faggot stitching defines and supports the shaping to create a defined, feminine profile.

Note that while there are two elastic darts at the side seams to provide some comfort, there are no adjustments to be made at the hooks unless you add a band extender. The minimal use of elastic is indicative of the rationing of materials during WW2. There are a few minor surface stains; please see the images.

Care instructions: Hand washing in warm water and line drying will best ensure the longevity of this vintage foundation. Machine wash warm. A gentle, low-heat tumble dry is also okay.
