This 1940s vintage humorous comic postcard illustration depicts an army cook in a chef's hat, aggressively attempting to tenderize a large cut of meat with a rifle and bayonet, complete with a classic wartime pun: "Don't git tough with me!"

It is a "linen era" postcard, produced in the United States between approximately 1930 and 1945. It was published by MWM Color Litho (Mid West Map Co.) in Aurora, Missouri, and is part of their "Army Comic Series" under the catalog number AC133.

Artist: The artwork is signed by the artist using the signature "Cpl. B.H. Orby", which is often identified simply as "Jakie Irby" or "Irby" in collector listings.
