About This Vintage Postcard

This early vintage postcard from the 1930s features a scenic view of Mount Ypsilon and the newly completed Trail Ridge Road in Colorado. Finished in 1931, the road ascends the eastern side of the Continental Divide, winding through valleys and along rugged slopes before reaching the heights of Fall River Pass. From this vantage point, travelers are treated to sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains’ dramatic peaks, deep gorges, and broad valleys.
