1920s Frog Figurine by Hutschenreuther

1918-1920s. A beautiful porcelain green tree frog sits perched on a gold mound. Marked: Hutschenreuther LHS Selb Abteilung Für Kunst Bavaria. Hutschenreuther from Selb started producing porcelain figurines in 1917, The Selb factory was so well managed that it was able to compete with established British porcelain brands. We can tell by the mark that this figure was intended for the domestic market but then marked for export with the addition of the stand-alone "BAVARIA" mark.
