Additional Information
This card was produced by J. Murray Jordan at his Philadelphia publishing house using his own original photography captured with an 8x10 view camera. The building is a Carnegie library, funded by a 60000 dollar grant from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. The reverse features a 1908 Canton Ohio flag cancel postmark and a green one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp. The divided back indicates it was produced after the 1907 postal regulation change allowing messages on the left side.
The handwritten message from Nora Biddle reads: I arrived here safe and am having a nice time. I go buggy riding every day. Nora Biddle. The card is addressed to Miss Della Steckley in Garrett Ind.
This would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
