Additional Information

The original stone building shown in this early 1900s postcard is no longer standing. It was located at 430 Cleveland Avenue SW and built in 1905 to accommodate the congregation rapid growth. The building was destroyed by a major fire that broke out in the early morning of April 12 2009 shortly before a scheduled demolition for the Newmarket downtown renewal project. The congregation had already moved to its current modern campus at 6900 Market Avenue N in 2006. The handwritten note on the front says Where Carroll and Frances attend Sunday School and the back is addressed to Miss Leona Idru in Gas City Indiana.

This would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
