1909 Clock Tower Auxerre France Postcard

1909 vintage topographical postcard. The Auxerre Clock Tower was built in the 15th century. First used as a prison, it was turned into a clock and belfry in 1483. A fire devastated the tower in 1825 but it was restored and largely rebuilt identically between 1891 and 1893. Marvelous street scene.
