1908 Bringing Home Christmas Tree Postcard

1908 vintage postcard. This is by far one of the most beautiful pastoral postcards from the Romantic Period we have seen to date...but can someone please explain why Grandpa, with his cane, is the one who is carrying the Christmas tree? Seriously, though, we don't think you're going to find a prettier card than this one.
